I have always had a deep appreciation for the beauty and life-force of forests. During my many travels to Japan, I discovered the Japanese tradition of “forest bathing”, or Shinrin-yoku. This is based on a belief we also share in the Nordics: that spending time in a forest, breathing in the forest air is a truly healing experience for the body and soul.

Spray and gently pat the fragrance onto your skin. Each layer of fragrance contributes distinct characteristics, forming a cohesive scent profile that evolves gradually. The opening of SHINRIN presents the wearer with a mesmerizing forest aroma, warmed by cardamom and naturally sweetened with bergamot oil. *For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid spraying towards the eyes or inflammed skin.

  1. MOISTURIZE Before applying fragrance, make sure your skin is well-hydrated. Dry skin tends to absorb fragrance more quickly, leading to shorter wear times.
  2. PULSE POINTS Apply fragrance to pulse points on your body, such as the wrists, neck, inner elbows, and behind the ears. These areas generate heat, which helps to activate and release the fragrance over time.
  3. AVOID RUBBING Resist the urge to rub your wrists together. This can break down the fragrance molecules and diminish the scent's longevity.

NUORI’S FRAGRANCE VISION

NUORI is known for its all-natural, high-performance formulas that deliver visible results. Small-batch production, freshness, efficacy, and transparency have always been our guiding principles.

With our PARFUM NATUREL line we bring this same ethos into the world of fine fragrance. The result is a collection of 100% natural, artisanal fragrances that are creative, contemporary, idiosyncratic, and nuanced yet highly wearable.

FAQ

Fine Fragrance and Perfume are really interchangeable terms.  Fine Fragrance is used to categorize more premium products (e.g., perfumes) as opposed to say fragranced body mists, or laundry care products where the fragrance is much cheaper and plays a functional role.

Our fine fragrances are genderless and designed to be worn by all.

100% of the materials used in NUORI fragrances are certified natural. Each fragrance blend is made up of a combination of fully extracted essential oils, botanical extracts as well as some materials that are naturally derived via bioprocessing i.e. fermentation of sugar to produce natural fragrance molecules.

Since NUORI’s fine fragrances are made using only the highest quality raw materials, the scents last up to 12 hours depending on the person and mode of application. Synthetic perfumes might sometimes last longer, but it’s important to remember that this staying power comes with a price: it’s archived by using chemical fixatives and scent enhancers such as diethyl phthalate, a chemical linked to sperm damage in human epidemiological studies, and musk ketone, which concentrates in human fat tissue and breast milk.

Our commitment to using only natural ingredients means that our fine fragrances offer a unique olfactory experience that is safer for humans and the environment. Natural perfumes interact differently with the skin compared to synthetic ones, and their scent profile evolves over time in a more subtle and nuanced manner.

To enhance the longevity of all fine fragrances; Consider carrying a small atomizer (available in our Discovery kit) with you for touch-ups throughout the day. This allows you to enjoy your favorite fragrance whenever you desire a little pick-me-up.

Yes, we only use materials from botanical (plant) sources including our musk which is plant derived. And as with all of NUORI’s products, nothing is tested on animals!

Our fine fragrances are made using natural raw materials which may experience some variation from different harvests and processing rounds. As a result, our products may show some subtle differences in color from batch to batch. This is nothing to worry about and is just a sign of the beauty and unpredictability of nature.

Our fine fragrances are made by hand in Scotland. The raw materials used are of the highest quality and purity, harvested responsibly and sourced globally.

Our fine fragrances contain denatured alcohol made from sugar beets. The role of alcohol in Eau de Perfums is to be the carrier of the fragrance, meaning it dissolves and holds the perfumed oils and botanical extracts. The warmth from your skin makes the alcohol to evaporate, creating the projection, or sillage, of your fragrance. It also acts as a natural preservative for the botanical fragrance extracts making your fragrance stay fresh for longer. Because the alcohol evaporates relatively quickly, it will not stay on your skin for long.

Most people tolerate natural, alcohol-based perfumes perfectly well. If you worry about alcohol’s effect on your skin, here are a few tips:

  1. Do a patch test: apply a small amount of the fine fragrance on the inside of your elbow, wait for 48 hours and see if any skin reaction occurs.
  2. Apply fragrance on clothing instead of directly on skin.
  3. Never wear fine fragrance on skin that is directly exposed to the sun. This can lead to skin discoloration and irritation. Good spots to apply are nape of neck that is covered by hair, or behind knees or elbows that are covered by clothing.
